“In the Spotlight” features A Salute to Volunteers

Without the help of great volunteers, most organizations would cease to exist. Churches and nonprofits across the country depend on the service of volunteers for much of their work.

In the early stages of forming Eva’s Closet, I discovered that volunteers play a significant role in the success of your organization. That is why I have decided to salute their hard work in this feature. Our volunteers have graciously invested their time and resources along this journey in forming Eva’s Closet (EC). Without their help and support, this organization would not be what it is today.

Eva’s Closet is blessed to be encouraged, guided and supported by so many wonderful volunteers who have worked tirelessly and wholeheartedly to make this dream a reality. There were difficult times when progress seemed slow.  However, our volunteers continued to show their support and encouragement through these times.

No journey is easy. Success is not accomplished without hard work nor does it happens instantly.  In Psalm 119:1-2, it says “You're blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God. You're blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him.”

Each volunteer is very creative, results-driven and very compassionate about their spiritual life and service. Our committee and volunteers represent successful careers in mentoring, teaching, guidance and ministerial leadership roles.  We collaborate with our volunteers through other programs, agencies or partnerships. EC has a core group of volunteers who started when we formed the organization and a few who have joined us recently as we begin to grow and to build our programs. Our volunteers are supporters who have helped us with professional services in website design, photography, public relations, law and information management. Most of our volunteers are here in the Dallas, Texas area. A few volunteers reside in other places.

EC takes the opportunity to recognize our volunteers for their commitment and dedication to the vision that God has given me for Eva’s Closet Ministerial and Social Services Nonprofit.

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus

(Philippians 3:14.)
